Let’s celebrate! A new addition to the family is such a gift that it deserves it’s own celebration. The beliefs you have and style you want, are the ingredients we will use in creating your very own Naming Day Ceremony. Increasingly parents are choosing to have Naming Days rather than Christenings. As many families do not subscribe to a formal religion but want the joy of introducing their child to family and friends, having a Naming Day celebration is the answer. It’s a ceremony created entirely for you and yours and so is a completely unique experience for you and all your guests.
Together we discuss what you really want from this ceremony.
Who you are, what you want for you and your baby, where it will take place, remembering we are not confined to any particular building or space ( how exciting). When you would like the ceremony and why you feel you want to share this day with family and friends. In other words we make it a complete expression of you, your values and your love for your baby. What a joy. All the love of a wedding without all the expense and stress!
We can incorporate into the ceremony whatever and whoever is most important to you and in your child’s life. Guardians, grand parents, friends can be involved. If you have particular interests, music or poetry, these can also be weaved into the ceremony. Anything that makes it unique and meaningful to you and yours.
When we have decided upon all the elements you would like included, I write the ceremony and send it to you for your approval. Once completely happy, we finalise it and organise the day.
Little Eyes
There are little eyes upon you and they’re watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly take in everything you say.
There are little hands all eager to do everything you do.
And a little boy / girl who’s dreaming of the day s/he’ll be like you.
You’re the little fellow’s / lady’s idol, you’re the wisest of the wise.
In his/her little mind about you no suspicions ever rise.
There’s a wide-eyed little fellow/lady who believes you’re always right
And his/her ears are always open and s/he watches day and night.
You are setting an example every day in all you do.
For the little boy/girl who’s waiting to grow up to be like you.
